Work in industrial kitchens and bakeries takes place under high temperatures, humidity, and high concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Due to open flames and high-performance electrical equipment, these areas pose a high fire risk. Special ventilation systems are used to create a comfortable and safe working environment, as well as for fire prevention.

Objectives of kitchen ventilation

An effective kitchen ventilation system must ensure:

• the removal of excess heat from stoves, ovens, and other kitchen appliances,

• the removal of steam, smoke, and unpleasant odors,

• the maintenance of appropriate humidity levels,

• forced smoke removal and air replacement in case of fire.

Kitchen fans – Reliability and efficiency

VSK and KSK centrifugal fans

These are sound-insulated fans that can continuously remove contaminated air at temperatures up to 120 °C, using grease filters. They provide an ideal solution for kitchens in restaurants, cafes, and bakeries. The motors of the fans are located behind a metal panel, separated from the airflow.

VKPD dual-function fan

This fan is designed for the forced removal of smoke, combustion products, and hot gases in case of fire, while also serving general ventilation purposes. It can remove air at +400 °C for up to 120 minutes and provides continuous operation at 100 °C.

VKT roof fan

This fan can remove exhaust gases at temperatures up to 200 °C for up to five hours. The device can provide an airflow of up to 1000 m³/h, ideal for venting hot smoke from chimneys, stoves, and open flame sources. The galvanized steel casing is weather- and corrosion-resistant.

Providing fresh air in kitchen areas

In addition to the active removal of contaminated air, continuous fresh air supply is also essential. This is ensured by air handling units and duct fans that prevent contaminated air from entering hospitality spaces.

MPA EC air handling units

These are pre-assembled ventilation systems that provide filtration, heating, and fresh air supply with airflow of up to 5000 m³/h.

Boost, Boost-I, VKM, VKP, and VKPI fans

These fans can provide an air flow of up to 15,000 m³/h. Models equipped with EC motors offer energy savings of up to 35–50%, while ensuring quiet operation and high efficiency.
